Arkansas River at Oxford affecting Sumner County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Arkansas River near Mulvane. * WHEN...From Friday morning to tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Lowland flooding occurs along the vicinity of the river, primarily affecting the farmland northwest of the Highway 53 bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.5 feet tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southeast Kansas, including the following counties, in central Kansas, Barton, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Marion, McPherson, Rice, Russell and Saline. In east central Kansas, Chase. In south central Kansas, Butler, Cowley, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Reno, Sedgwick and Sumner. In southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional storms are expected to develop over southern Kansas late this afternoon and evening. These storms will produce high rainfall rates that may lead to flooding.
